What is Blackboard Ultra Base Navigation?

Beginning in January 2023, College of DuPage will be switching from Blackboard Original Base Navigation to Blackboard Ultra Base Navigation. A more modern-looking, mobile-friendly, and accessible Blackboard, Ultra Base Navigation will not impact your courses. We've listed below what that means for you and your, and included links with each item to learn more.

• We've gone vertical! Navigate to your courses, grades, and the new Activity Stream from a vertical left menu.
• That Activity Stream we mentioned allows you, and your students, to navigate across courses to see what's upcoming at a glance rather than having to drill down through each course.  
• Global Grades allows you start grading right from the My Institution page. No need to navigate to each course to see if any assignments have been submitted.
• Filter and favorite your courses on the Courses page. Display your courses as lists or tiles, and filter for current term courses.
• Messages allows you and your students to interact with one another in a more intuitive format. No need to navigate to the Send Email section of each course. Contact your students right from that left menu.
