- Navigate to the Assignment in the course. You’ll know it’s an Assignment where you can submit your work from the Assignment icon:
- Once you click on the assignment you can view the Assignment due date, how many attempts you have left (instructors may give students multiple opportunities to submit an assignment), and the number of points possible. Click View Instructions to see the instructions and expectations for the assignment.
- You do not have to begin the work immediately when you click on the Assignment. You can close the page and come back to it later. To complete your Assignment, you can either attach your work in the Submission field, or compose your submission in Blackboard. To do either, click on the Submission field. Once you click in the submission field, text editing tools will appear. Note that your instructor may require you to submit work in a specific format. Please refer to the Assignment instructions, course syllabus, and rubric (if provided) for more information.
- To attach a submission, you can either click and drag the file from your device, or click the paperclip icon to browse your local files to select the file or files to attach. To compose your submission in Blackboard, begin typing in the Submission field.
- Once you have uploaded your file or files, click Submit to submit your assignment. If you have not yet completed working on your Assignment, you can click Save and Close to save your work and come back to it later. Note that your instructor will only be able to view and grade your work if you click Submit.
