The Messages tool functions as a single place to access messages from all courses in one location.
Viewing Messages
Users can access their global Messages page directly on the left-hand navigation bar. There are also access points all over Ultra for you to directly act upon information by sending messages to students.
If you have any unread messages, you will see a numeric value on the Messages tool link indicating the number of new messages received since your last log-in.

Click Messages on the left-hand navigation bar
- Unread messages are indicated with a number within a red circle or a red dot. Courses with unread messages appear first. From your list of available courses, click the course you want to view and send messages.
- Select a course card to view new and existing messages in your course. You can delete messages in your course.
Messages inside a course
In a course, click the Messages page. All of your course messages and responses are on the messages page. Messages will not be sent to your Outlook email they will remain in your course.
A. Unread messages appear first with a circle next to the messages tab and the person/group's name.
B. Select the New Message to send a message. Send to one person, multiple people, or the entire class.
C. Use the delete button to delete a message. Delete will remove the entire chain, however, new responses will come in.
