Once a test has been created in Ultra Course View, the questions and settings can be edited from where the test is deployed in the course.
To edit a test or its settings, navigate to where the test is deployed in the course, and click on the test name to view the test. The test opens on the Content and Settings tab comprised of the Test Content Panel and the Test Settings Panel.
Edit Test Questions
In the Test Content Panel, you can view, edit, and re-order all the test questions, print the test, and edit the points possible for each question.
- To edit a test question, click the 3 dots to the right of the points possible for the question, and click Edit. When you are finished editing the question, click Save to save the changes.
- To print the test, click Print at the top of the Test Content Panel.
- To edit the point value of a question, click on the button displaying the point value for the question. When you are finished editing the points, click Save to save the changes.
- To re-order the questions in the test, hover the mouse below the 3 dots to the right of the points possible for the question you wish to move. An icon of up and down arrows will appear. Click and drag that icon up or down to re-order the question.
Edit Test Settings
In the Test Settings Panel click the Gear icon to edit the Test Settings, including:
- Due Date - Instructors can choose to set a due date, indicate the absence of a due date, prohibit late submissions, etc.
- Presentation Options - configurations in this area allow for question randomization, prohibiting backtracking, displaying the questions one at a time, and more.
- Grading and Submission - here is where instructors can change the category, number of attempts allowed, method of grading (points, percentage, letter, etc.)
- Assessment Results - Automated feedback, scores and answers availability, etc.
- Assessment Security - setting an access code required to take the exam
- Additional Tools - time limit, grading rubric, goal alignments, groups, and enabling SafeAssign to generate an Originality Report for Essay questions.
- Description - a place for instructors to provide a description of the test.
