College of DuPage has moved to LTI 1.3 for all integrations on our Blackboard instance. LTI 1.3 has better security, is more flexible, and is more mobile-ready as the model is independent of web browsers.
Before creating the link to your Pearson course content in Blackboard, be sure to set up, make any desired changes to, the content on the Pearson site.
Then, when you are ready to link to the Pearson content in your Blackboard course shell:
- Login to Blackboard and enter your course.
- Navigate to where you would like the link to reside among your Course Content and click the plus sign (+), then select Content Market.
- Under the Institution Tools heading, scroll down and locatethe Pearson LTI 1.3 tool (NOTE: tools are in alphabetical order in this list).
- Click on the plus sign (+) in the lower right hand corner of the icon to add a link to your course.
Once you click on the Pearson LTI 1.3 link, you will be taken to the publisher's site where you can add/delete/make changes to your Pearson course content. Once you have set it all up, students will be able to access the materials from the link you've created in your Course Content.
