In ultra course view, instructors can provide an easy way for students to keep track of course materials, by enabling the Progress Tracking setting. With this setting turned on, students can see what they have already completed in the course, and what they have yet to complete.
To turn on Progress Tracking:
- Click Turn on under Progress Tracking on the Details & Actions menu.
- The Progress Tracking panel will open on the right side of the screen.
- Toggle the switch from "Off" to "On"
- Click Save to save the setting.
You will not see an obvious change in your course, however, your students will now see the progress of their course. All content in your course (learning modules, ultra documents, assignments, tests, etc.) will now display a circle icon to indicate the student's progress:
- Empty circle - the student has not yet accessed the item
- Partially filled circle - the student has opened the item
- Green Check mark - the student has marked the item complete
When all items in a folder or module have been marked complete, the folder or module will be automatically marked as complete.
With Progress Tracking turned on, a Student Progress item will appear in the submenu for each item in the course. Clicking the 3 dots next to any item will allow instructors to select Student Progress and see which students have completed that item.
