In Ultra course view, simply grading the assignment or test, does not publish that grade in the course. Instructors must manually post grades for each graded item, or set up those items for auto-posting.
Manually Posting Grades
- Navigate to the Gradebook.
- Find the specific assignment, quiz, or student submission you wish to post grades for and click on the name of the item to open the Submissions page.
- Grade the submission(s).
- Once graded, return to the submissions page. It will now look like this:
- Instructors may choose to post students' grades one at a time by using the smaller Post option on an individual's submission or collectively with the Post all grades option at the top right.
(Note: If the column the grades are being posted for is hidden, grades will post but the students will not see them. Students will only see changes in Gradebook if/when the column is made visible to them)
Auto-Posting Grades
Ultra allows professors to auto-post grades for quizzes, exams, assignments, and any test that does not have any essay-type questions. To set up the auto post option for an assignment or test:
- Navigate to the assignment or test and click on it to open it.
- Click the gear icon to access the Settings
- Scroll down to Assessment Grade and check the box for Post Grades automatically
- Click Save
(Note: Auto-post will not post grades I essay questions are included in the assignment or test. Instructors must post the grades manually after grading those questions)
