Help Learning Technologies Staff Support You with Your Session Debug Code

If you experience what you believe to be a bug or any unexpected behavior while using Blackboard, it is important to copy the debug code before logging out of the system. If you encounter an error message while using Blackboard there will likely be a “session debug” link. Select the link then select “request log code” to generate your unique code. Copy the code and share it with Learning Technologies.

If you did not receive an error message, you can generate a session debug code yourself:

1. Select the help bubble in the bottom-right corner of a page in Blackboard. The help icon does not appear in Original courses but is accessible from Base Navigation pages and Ultra course pages.
2. Select “Session Debug” from the menu.
3. Select the “Request log code” button.
4. Select the copy icon next to the generated code to add it to your device’s clipboard.
5. Share the code and a description of the problem you experienced with learningtech@cod.edu.
