Open Your Course - Blackboard Ultra Course

Courses at COD are automatically made available to students on the start date of the course. As the instructor, you can choose to make your course available to students before the start date. To make a Blackboard Ultra course available:

1. Navigate to your Blackboard Ultra course.
2. Select the Course Settings (gear) icon in the upper right of the course. Note: There is an indication to the right of Course Settings letting you know whether the course is currently open or closed. 
   
   
   
   
3. In the Course Access section, scroll to the Close Course option. It's a bit counterintuitive, but if the Close Course icon is turned on, it turns green, and the course is closed to students. If it's turned off it turns grey, and the course is open the students. The setting you select will automatically save.
