When creating an Item in Blackboard, and in many other locations throughout Blackboard, you can make use of the Text Editor to write or edit text. The Text Editor contains many of the features available in a word processing program, such as Microsoft Word. Some of the things you can do include:
- Bold and italicize text
- Change the style, size and color of fonts.
- Change paragraph formatting.
- Create bulleted or numbered lists.
- Create hyperlinks to external resources.
- Insert images.
- Insert equations.
- Spellcheck.
- Check for accessibility.
Note: when using the Text Editor, many of the formatting tools may be hidden. If you only see a single row of tools at the top of the Text Editor, click the three dots (ellipsis) at the top right of the Text Editor to expand the tools. You can click the ellipsis again to toggle off the additional features, to give yourself more room on the page.
