Edit a Test and Test Options

You can edit both a test's questions and the options for each test.
NOTE: Changes to test questions and test settings are made in two different places.

Change the test questions

1. 1. Navigate to the location in the course where the test is deployed.
   2. Click the contextual menu chevron to the right of the test name.
      
      
   3. From the contextual menu chevron select Edit the Test.
      
      
      
      
   4. In Test Canvas, you can add, remove, and reorder questions and change the point value for one or all questions.
   5. When you have completed making any changes, click OK.

Change Test Options

1. 1. 1. Navigate to the location in the course where the test is deployed.
      2. Click the contextual menu chevron to the right of the test name.
      3. From the contextual menu chevron select Edit the Test Options.
         
         
      4. This will allow you to make changes to the test options such as availability, timer, due date, and feedback. You can also set Text Availability Exceptions if a student has an accommodation to allow them additional time to take a test or if you need to make a test available to one student after the due date.
      5. When you have completed your changes, click Submit.

You will not be permitted to make certain changes to a test if some of your students have already completed it. Also, if you make changes to the number of points on a question, all students' grades may change. The Blackboard Help website includes more information on how changes to a test impact grades.
