You can edit both a test's questions, and its settings. Changing questions and test settings are made in two different places.
- To change the test questions (including points per question):
- Navigate to the location in the course where the test is deployed.
- Click the contextual menu chevron to the right of the test name.
- From the contextual menu chevron select Edit the Test.
- In Test Canvas you can add, remove, and reorder questions, as well as change the point value for one or all questions.
- When you have completed making any changes, click OK.
- To change the test options (settings):
- Navigate to the location in the course where the test is deployed.
- Click the contextual menu chevron to the right of the test name.
- From the contextual menu chevron select Edit the Test Options.
- This will allow you to make changes to the test options such as: availability, timer, due date, and feedback. This is also where you can set Text Availability Exceptions, in case you need make a test available to one student after the due date, or if a student has an accommodation to allow them additional time to take a test.
- When you have completed your changes, click Submit.
Note that you will not be permitted to make certain changes to a test if some of your students have already completed it. Also, if you make changes to the number of points on a question or questions, all students' grades may change on the test. The Blackboard Help website includes more information on how changes to a test impact grades.
