In our 2019SU Blackboard upgrade, Blackboard removed the ability to add graphic buttons to course menus in order to improve mobile performance and usability for students.
Thankfully, you can once again change the background and text colors of your course menu to help you differentiate course sections:
Screencast video (no narration)
- Navigate to your course's Control Panel.
- Click Customization.
- Click Teaching Style.
- Scroll to the SELECT MENU STYLE section and select Text.
- Edit the color swatches for background and or text color.
- Submit your changes.
- Use a tool such as the Colour Contrast Analyzer to ensure your menu meets accessibility guidelines for color contrast.
