Launch the Yuja Software Capture program on your computer. You can also launch the program by logging into http://cod.yuja.com and clicking Create Recording.
The Yuja Software Capture program is already installed on all COD computers. For additional information on installing and using the Software Capture program on a personal computer, see the guide on Getting Started Recording Videos with Yuja Software Capture.
Make sure your microphone is selected and enabled in the audio section.
In the Video section, disable your webcam if you do not want to appear next to the recorded screen.
Next, select the Screen settings to setup your recording area.
Select Advanced Settings.
To only record part of the screen, choose Capture Selected Area.
Then click Select Area to use your mouse to select the part of your screen to record. When recording a PowerPoint narrated presentation, this would be the area of the screen displaying the main slide.
NOTE: During the select area process, you may have to re-position your application screens for PowerPoint and Yuja to appear at the same time.
Once selected, click Save.
Click Start to begin recording
When finished, click the Stop button.
The video will then become part of your YuJa video library. Use the More link to rename your video, get the link to share the video with your class, and set other options for your video. For additional information on sharing your video, see the guide for Embedding a Yuja Video into Blackboard.
